Meet Paul Godwin

Paul Godwin is:
- Husband, father, musician, educator, business owner. I came to El Dorado County twelve years ago to hike, kayak, camp and fish, and fell in love with Placerville. Four years ago we made it our permanent family home.
- I work at The Bookery where I serve Placerville citizens and visitors who are drawn to our history and vibrancy. I am standing for City Council Member to be of service and to foster continued harmony, prosperity and safety in our town.
- In 2021 I founded Main Street Collective - musicians who live and work in Placerville and perform regularly together, and in 2022, co-founded Myrtle Tree Arts with my wife Ameera Godwin, an arts collaborative committed to supporting issues that affect us through arts engagement. This strong creative community is one example of how I envision bringing my spirit and energy to the City Council.
- With a B.A. in Music Production & Engineering from Berklee College of Music, Boston, I founded and directed Music Together of San Francisco, supervising ten locations and twenty teachers to create an inspiring learning environment for 10,000+ families during 20 years. Hiring and managing employees, supporting clients, managing operations and marketing leveraged my talents with people around complex issues.
